Krazy for Kanzashi

So I found myself looking for creative inspiration. Somewhere, somehow, I stumbled upon Kanzashi.

There are some beauties on etsy as well. Like this one and this one. Oh my goodness.

There are some incredible artists out there, but this is certainly a project that can be tackled by anyone.

The flower above is my first try, and I can't stop smiling. Eight 2x2 squares, a thrifted earring, and a dab of hot glue.

Go on and give it a try. I know you want to.
And I bet you've got a fabric scrap hanging around.

Maybe even two.

*And thanks for the support regarding Laura and her terrible morning. Yesterday and today were much better. And I hear there will be a vote Tuesday night at the board of education meeting, to turn the time back. I'll be there to get the full scoop.
