I've got lots of questions today, and would love some input...
Question #1-
Is this hankie hand stitched?
(the back)
Question #2-
I bought a stack of 10 pillowcase tubes to embroider. Flowers, peacocks, and my favorite, these deer. All are spotless, except my favorite, of course. Do I take the time and embroider them? If I do, what do I do about the edges, because I can guarantee you that I will never, ever figure out how to crochet the trim as intended.
Question #3-
We tore out this nasty closet,
and are replacing it with a thrifted hutch. Do I paint the hutch a bright cherry red,
or a more colonial red.
Can you tell the difference? What kind of fabric should I line the back with? (It will be housing lots of white dishes and milk glass, and the shelves are glass).
Question#4- Should I go gray? I am tired of coloring my hair, tired of soaking my head with chemicals, tired of going with the flow and accepting that aging is ugly. I'm 34 by the way, with dark hair and lots and lots of gray. For the record, men I have asked agree that I shouldn't bother, women seem to think I am making a big mistake.
Question #5-
Do you think Rachel Ray is a terrorist sympathizer?
Question # 6-
What is wrong with people????
Feel free to answer any or all questions. I'd love to hear what you all have to say!

Handstitched, rick-rack, colonial red with either gingham or a damask print, cover the gray, no she isn't, they are mostly insane.
But that's just my opinion.

Hard to tell on number one.
Yes, embroider them, otherwise that print will wash off! Use some kind of trim like vallen says.
I say cherry red. No clue on the fabric.
I havent ever colored my hair, so I am no good there.
The rachel thing makes me freaking CRaZy. Come on people, puhlease!
I have no clue what is wrong with the world though.

1. I would say the hankie is both... machine embroidered with hand-stitched details. 2. As for the pillowcases, I would go for it, and finish the ends with pretty sewn-on trim. 3. Cherry red - with red/white gingham background fabric! 4. Go gray! Embrace your natural beauty! 5. Really... RR a terrorist sympathizer? C'mon People!!! 6. Close-minded, scaredy cats, who don't trust anyone that doens't look exactly like them...

Answers to all your questions:
1) no idea
2) don't fully understand
3) bright cherry red
4) whatever makes you feel comfortable
5) absolutely yes...anyone who tells you how to make a 30 minute meal and then has a staff of 20 people pre-cut and pre-portion everything in my estimation is a terrorist sympathizer
6) too much caffeine
There, I hope I have answered your questions....

1. You got me..no clue!
2. Yes! Those are just too cute! Maybe make your own bias tape for the trim?
3. Ooh, bright red, definitely!!
4. That's a tough one...but generally I would say whatever makes you feel better.
5. Ohmygosh - that's hilarious! Really not a good look though, terrorist or not.
6. Good question! I take comfort in the fact that all those crazies make me look more normal!

3.- BRIGHT Cherry Red, with a more 'French Provenciale' Chintz fabric (instead of a 'Country Colonial' plaid)since the cabinet seems more 'Modern' with the glass shelves. ...or maybe just paint the back (say... a dark blue or a summer squash golden yellow...)
4. I say - let the hair do it's own thing... of course I'm Fort...(cough, cough) and have never had any coloring process done to my hair (unless you count the neon orange 'tail' in the late 80's). Then again, I only get around to having my haircut about once a year, so I'm probably not a good one to give advice!!

I will only answer #2. You can purchase vintage crocheted or tatted edging on E-bay if you will watch for it. I would embroidery them and then sew a vintage edge that was hand done by someone else. You might also check with your church ladies because sometimes there are little grand mimi's that love to do this sort of thing and have the time. I have a group that quilt for me.
