As promised, I finally have a picture of the goodies Rebecca sent me for the final installment of our sister swap.
Included were this fabulous stocking, that I absolutely adore. It was filled with goodness, in perfect Rebecca style. Isn't the little yo yo tree she made me adorable? And I love the mittens. Nothing says "friend' like a pair of hand made mittens. The origami book is fabulous, filled with ornament projects. How neat is that? Also included is a Santa oven mitt, currently residing in the washing machine, and a delicious Lindt chocolate bar, now a sweet memory...
She also made the kids sweet little treats for Christmas morning.
Thanks, Rebecca! They were very much appreciated.
And now our sister swap is over. I'm a bit sad, because I have really enjoyed getting to know Rebecca, and have truly appreciated having a constant friend and cheerleader, especially during what is for me the most stressful time of the year. The good news is that I feel like I have really made a new friend. And we live close to each other, at least in blogville terms. She is just a train visit away, and I am sure that in the future we will meet up for some thrifty fun.
I didn't take any pictures of what I sent her, I was too busy rushing around like a lunatic. But Rebecca took some nice pictures, and you can see them here.
Thank you Rebecca, for hosting the swap, for being a most terrific swap partner, and a now a good friend.
I also received another package before Christmas. A surprise, from Roxanne. When I started blogging last year, Roxanne was one of the first women I actually started corresponding with. She has been inspiring and encouraging. And generous. Months and months ago, she sent me a bag, which is still my favorite. And now I have a scarf.
A beautiful, soft, cozy scarf. I was so touched when I opened the package. I was so moved by her generosity, I got a little teary eyed. How much it means to me to know that she thought of me and knit this, putting time and energy into it. Thank you, Roxanne. I love it!
One of my favorite things about blogging is connecting with so many creative, kind women. It truly is heartwarming knowing how many generous people there are out there.
So this is it for the holiday posts. I am ready to move on, to dream of sunny days.
I have two immediate goals. To tackle the ginormous pile of laundry taking over the basement, and to make a soldering tutorial. It is sunny today, and I am going to try to take advantage and take some good pictures, write some cohesive sentences, and put something together that will help out anyone interested in making some pendants. Wish me luck!

I can't wait to see your soldering tutorial! I need to get back into that and practice some more. I love the picture you took of the scarf! The light is hitting it just perfectly. Hope its keeping you warm and cozy!

Great package and I'm sure you and Rebecca will remain constant friends, you both have a lot in common :) It is sad that this is the last of the Sister Swap packages, isn't it!
Looking forward to your soldering tutorial, I can't wait to start using my new toy!

Sorry I'm so late in responding to this, it's been hard to get back to normal after 10 days with my family LOL.
I'm so glad you liked everything. It's been WONDERFUL exchanging swap packages with you and getting to be your friend. That is a true Christmas gift! I do hope we'll meet face to face, perhaps in the spring for a little bargain hunting? :)
much love . . .
